My Dad is from Raceland and my Mom is from Shreveport. I grew up calling them white perch while fishing with my Moms family and sacalait when fishing with my Dad. Now I live in BR where no one can agree on the name. It has caused quite the identity crisis in my life. :csb:

I have only been fishing for them for 2 years. I have noticed that I either catch all blacks, or all whites. Saline is different. I catch all whites early, then it mixes. Toledo? All blacks. Spring Bayou? All blacks. Indian? All blacks.

Can't recall Red River, but will find out in November.

The first oxbow south of the lock near Moncla has a good supply. Getting a big boat in there can be scary though. I took a chick pro in there who had a heavy boat, and I thought we may not get out.
