That's adult life. And it's a suckass reality that hit me in the face last year.
I'm too busy with too little downtime to waste making plans with someone who might not show up

I mean I've done the same. It all depends on what kind of trip you are taking IMO. Is it just a nonchalant bream trip, not a big deal. If its an offshore trip we've been planning for awhile, then yeah I get pissed.

You obviously need a better caliber of friends. I hate when folks make plans that include me and just blow it off at the last minute.

One word of advice if I ever am looking forward to a trip, I talk to my buddies the night before to see whats up.
More than once I've determined about 10pm they are too wasted to be making the trip. Football falls especially, Sunday fishing trips are tough.
