2 healthy household members should quarantine themselves in the woods to prevent spread of flu

My seven year old got diagnosed with it last Sunday. I tested positive for it Friday evening so I get to hang out at home all by myself tonight and tomorrow. And I’m a big Christmas guy so this sucks. Hope to all be good for the rest of the season after the holidays.

My family had the stomach flu

I was the only one, Praise God, not sick.

I had to take care of all of them

Out of all of y’all that tested positive for the flu, who DID get the flu shot?

I’m asking all that has responded in this thread.

I’m an NP and always asking for my own stats

ETA: not asking about the “stomach flu” because there’s no such diagnosis

I have to each year because I work at a independent, assisted living, nursing home. But still caught it. It just depends if the stran you are exposed to was in your flu shot.

Correct.

Were your symptoms mild? How long did you feel “sick?

Had to carry my dad to the emergency room this morning for bronchitis. Almost lost him last Feb with flu, pneumonia, sepsis, and uti. Hoping he's better in the a.m. Things could be worse.

My son ran fever from last Saturday to Friday. Pretty high at times and sinus issues. Had him tested because others in his class had it.

I started Friday and still have it today. Mainly sinus and aches. Mild fever off and on but I rarely run high fever. I get tested due to my work. Can’t take a chance of bringing it around the elderly.

My wife and 1 year old are both sick. Been screaming all night...both of them lol.

Probably gonna have to skip grandparents house in the morning, which would be a first. Sucks superbly

Out of the percentages of patients coming thru the ER testing + for both A & B, Id def say this years flu shot is not effective. It never really is to be honest. Its a shot in the dark of what they hope the strain will be. Hope yall get to feelin better, well all except PP, i hope he shits himself

Only 10% effective this year.

Are the vaccines still made in China?

I finally feel like a person this morning.

Slight congestion pressure and still have a fairly nasty cough but I dont feel like death.

I did not get a flu shot this year.
