I don't know about that area but the City of New Orleans owns about 20,000 acres in Lower Lafourche around Port Fourchon..... anyone know if you can hunt that?
not a chance that is all part of the wisner trust some of it used to be WMAs but much of it is leased and they are big pricks about trespassing.

22k acres? Wow. That much? I cant get google maps to to create an area that is 22k acres big. Must be land off in other areas I guess
a lot of it is marsh - in st bernard parish too....from about 11 different land owners

Check out the Lafourche Parish Portal, If you search "New Orleans, City Of" it will show a listing of all the property they own. Mostly around Fourchon and Elmers Island. I have a new neighbor that moved in about 2 months ago and his name is listed as the owner on his house.

Damn ole Ed Wisner had 1,000,000 acres of land in LA. Lots of court battles makes it hard to follow whether its still in a trust or if the city actually owns it now. IDK, I know I'm not going try to hunt it. I just found it interesting the NOLA owned property in Lafourche Parish.

The land west of where I'm pointing to that is below the tracks and east of that big water had a confrontation last wednesday. Near that sub station at the tracks. A trespasser was beat up and ticketed.
A call was placed by the land owner to a few guys about a trespasser. These guys went out and found the guy tresspassing. A fight ensued resulting in the trespasser getting roughed up pretty good. The law showed up and ticketed the trespasser.
Sounds like not a good place to be trespassing

is that not what I said.. or was I too cryptic?
I am a rather formidable human and have some formidable friends - I would not play games with those folks..... even it you win - you could lose.....tain't worth it... but one of em did help in the grizzly search

I'm not one to trespass. Just pointing out that this would not be a good area to do so. Just like you said. It seems well monitored.

Bunch of old warehouses. Junk yards. Towing companies. Etc. all out in the middle of a swamp run by some muscle. Yep. I agree
