Would love to be fishing but a little to cold for my old man hands. Not a big fan of Bass Masters but accidently found it on the Fox channel yesterday. Darrel Gleason is from this area but didn't make the final but I like ol Hackneyed and pulling for him.

This is a good group to watch on the final day. Hudnall and Hackney are Louisiana guys and Seth Fieder is awesome.

I can’t even keep up with professional fishing these days with all the different leagues and tournaments.

He’s best friends with Bryan Thrift and that’s exactly what his deck always looks like too

I usually pack two. I would trip over most of those fishing lol. Never ever seen one grab one or two. You would think boat designs would have a better way to keep rods out of the way when not used. Up, New just grabbed another, going to flipping mode. Up, that didn't work out grabbed another rod.

Used to pick on my buddy who would bring 5 or 6. Never used more than two. I don't wear a shirt that has advertisement all over it either.

It's even more surprising considering the venue. He's not going to actually use more than half, so why do put some away?

Hack with spinning rig in the trees. Not that I don't love me some spinning tackle, but it's surprising considering it's him, and it's pitching.

Sounds like he needs to get on over to Academy and buy a few more.

I saw that and was also surprised...

But I didn't get a good look at what size weight he was using - pretty sure it was a Texas rigged creature of some sort that I saw (unless we're talking about two different tournaments). I can pitch a worm/lizard/brush hawg with a 1/4 oz. weight a long way unless there's a really strong wind to fight.

The wind shut totally down and the tide was slack. No water moving, it was a little clearer than normal on the east side of George and it was dead calm. He had beat on those fish for a few days so I think he was trying to finesse them a little to get one more big one out of that area.

I thought once the storms came in after lunch that his bite would pick back up but unfortunately it didnt.

Things happen fast on George. A wave of fish moved up on the area Bryan New was on and he smashed them late

Was fun to watch while we built baits all day.

Imagine how many he has at home then (if he has 14 in the boat)

No doubt. Check out Tom Monsoor’s “bass cave”. He won the FLW super tournament on the Mississippi last year. Absolutely insane how much fishing tackle is in this guys house. Worth the watch.

Watched it most of the weekend.
BASS has to buy there time on TV so hopefully they spend lots of $$ so we can watch lots of fishing when they're competing.

14 of the right ones too.
I keep 12-14 on my deck most of the time, especially this time of the year. It's overkill but I rather be in a situation where I just pick up what I want instead of digging in the rod box and getting pissed off wasting time.
