Getting close to have to buy my wife a new car. She really wants a Tahoe. Any owners of the newer ones on here? Any feedback?

I have a 2011 Tahoe. Been a great car, over 130K, still runs and drives good. Other than a few rattles it’s been an excellent car.

Not a Tahoe, but I do have a ‘23 GMC Yukon Denali. Big fan, my 7th since 1995.

Following...

I have a '19 Sierra AT4 (60k miles) that I'm looking to get out of and have been thinking about the Tahoe.

Drove one for about a week back in April while on a trip and loved it.

GMC Yukon 2022 here with 60k. Only issue is a squeak in the sunroof cover. Nothing an empty can of Copenhagen cant stop. Besides that it has been great and wife loves it as i do.

I just got a 2024 Tahoe Police car and it is a tank.

For sure is more comfortable than my 2012 model with ~150k miles.

No issues so far other than keeping fuel in it. That gas is gone with the quickness.

Have a 2022 z71 Tahoe with the 6.2. It’s a great driving car.

My advice is to get the 6.2. It’s an animal. So fun to drive and will pull a house. Have a 2500 to pull the boats but will occasionally use the Tahoe and it does great.

2022 Z71 with 33,000 with the 5.3. no issues and no rattles so afar. Only complain is the crapy good year tires are almost already gone. Not real fuel efficent either.

We had a 20 Tahoe and traded up to a 22 z71 suburban. We needed more space, but both vehicles were great. Love the suburban, no issues.

ETA: the only "issue" is the AT tires that came on it have lasted about 30k miles and we need a new set already. Probably more to do with my wife's driving habits

My Bridgestone Dueler (have had two types) have lasted longer than Michelins I used to buy. My factory GoodYears on my Sierra only lasted 35,000 miles.

On my current Tahoe I’m on my third set of Bridgestone Duelers. First two sets got over 50k miles. I could have got more if I would have rotated them more frequently.

All in I think the Bridgestone Duelers are some of the best tires you can get for these type vehicles.

I don’t have the newer one but I have had two tahoes (2010 z71 and 2018 premier)

Both have been great cars and I’ve said I’ll never drive anything but a Tahoe. Hate on them all you want but the 5.3 is reliable engine, massive amounts of room to put luggage, kids gear etc and they’re comfortable.

Approaching 100k miles on my 2018 and have heard of transmission issues begin to pop up around 100-125k miles so we will see how that goes. I feel like that’s with any car/manufacturer these days though. Hell even Toyota is having reliability issues these days but I’ve always had good luck with chevys.

Hell you haven't owned one long enough to know if they last

I have a 2016 Z-71 Tahoe with 230,000 miles on it I use as my everyday vehicle. I did replace the transmission at about 100,000 miles, and haven't had any other issues.

Before this one I had a 2009 Z-71 Tahoe I put 300,000 miles on and never had one issue.

I will most likely purchase another Z-71 Tahoe when this one is ready to retire.

I have a 2021 tahoe and have put 70k miles on it with no problems. The extra space behind the third row is awesome compared to my previous one. Can actually put a decent amount of luggage back there with all the seats up.

Just completed a transmission swap on my 2016 LTZ at ~132,000. Figured I could get another 4-6 years with no note. Other than that, no issues. Will just have to wait and see how all the electronics hold up after all the years.

I am in no rush to buy anything new.

Wife’s Yukon has Michelin Cross Climate 2’s on it. They damn sure will not hydroplane.

On my third Tahoe and haven’t had issues with any. Not the new body style, but currently have a ‘19 RST and highly recommend the 6.2 liter engine.

Heard a lot of good stuff about the 6.2 engine. I’ve had 3 different Chevy/GMC’s with the 5.3, all were good also.
