Weak ferrule is a weak ferrule, no matter what type of head it's used on.

I have no complaints about Muzzy or Rage. I will say the Rage took zero tuning to level out the flight, whereas the Muzzy's always seemed to need tuning. I might give this one a shot.

I switched to mechanical this last year. I used the NAP Killzone with poor results.

I was not happy that the blades did not stay locked open after inital hit. They did deploy open on impact.

I have not given up on the particular head though because if yall remember correctly I made a horrible shot.

Im planning on killing a few hogs with it and giving a better review.

What's so improved about it? It looks like a rage with a slightly different tip.

That is all that changed. Oh, and the price went up.

I almost broke down and tried the Rage ones. Even went as far as making it to the checkout with them in my buggy. Just couldn't do it. Left them laying beside the box of big league chew and next to the clear jar with the fishing hooks for your hat bill. Fixed blades for life

I don't see any reason for me to shoot anything mechanical. My rig shoots slick tricks great. I'm cool with 100% reliability.

I'm the same way. I admit mechanicals can leave some nasty holes. But I know what a Muzzy will do everytime and without fail

Ferrule is different. Weak ferrule was my only real knock on the Rage before.

You know what a mech will do everytime and without fail and every single head/arrow combo with fly exactly the same.

The argument isnt what it would or wouldnt do for us, as we are somewhat responsible and respectful of our equipment.
Its the fricktard crossbow methheads who leave their unsharpened dull grimey mechanicals outside for 2 years and then shoot that head at a deer and expect it to "cut an axe hole in its arse"...

Weak dude. You think those slobs are really better off with a fixed head?

I've shot rages with a lot of sucess. Never had any problems with it opening. Just with the people I hunt with we have killed over 15 deer with the rages and not one problem.

I like it because it flies better than a fixed. Shoots just like a field tip.

Yea I see that now.

Are these supposed to replace the old ones or will they both be sold?
