Have any of you bought one recently that you like? Promar, Frabill, Ego?

Ego rubber. Not new as I have had it for many years but it looks brand new and gets tons of use, even surf fishing. Guessing it's 7-8 years old and looks like it just came off the shelf. Can't go wrong.

Dad had an extendable ego that only lasted a few years before the handle broke at the base. Now has a frabil with the extra handle at the net.

I actually did, but the one I got was tiny and only bought it to stop crappie from slicing my left pointer finger. Here it is

Thanks baw. That's a slick bait net. Need something slightly larger. Although I am conscious that I need to store this thing too so not trying to get something with a gargantuan wide hoop on the end. Only need it for inshore.

Have used a short handled Ego for wading and kayak fishing for years, but just got a Frabil that collapses down for the boat. It's nothing fancy, but does the job and was cheap. Bent it on a bull red recently, but bent it right back fine...

Walmart

Biggest thing is rubber. Only kind I will use.

I bought this one a little over a year ago and it has been great. Feels like its really well made, and I believe you can buy replacement nets if yours would tear or break. Have been happy with it.

ETA: EGO is the brand.

Telescopic rubber h20 express or whatever academy’s brand is.

I have wondered how long it would take for someone to come out with a net that had a built in scale and the answer is now, debuted at ICAST last week. No idea about accuracy or durability but pretty cool no the less. Retail $149.

Whatever you do make sure it’s rubber

Thanks all. Ended up going to Academy @ lunch and picked up an H20 Express net with the rubber coating. The net area was more oblong than circular so figured it would stow easier.

I have an ego S2 slider with a rubber net. That thing is phenomenal.

Definitely. A big brand in the NW is Beckman. Hooks slip off the rubber version but stick in other version.

I bought the rubber.
