That's what I am leaning towards doing, thanks for the info.

With the XL grip module, I can no longer use 10 round mags

I believe I saw there was a base plate adapter that allows the 10 rd mags to be used with the xl frame.

I can't help you w/ the 365 vs Hellcat, but I do have a 380 I cc a lot.

I'm also thinking about grabbing a pocket sized .380 like an LCP or LCP2.

My pocket carry 380 is a Kahr CW380 in the right from pocket using a leather pocket holster. An extra mag is carried in a leather mag sheath in the left from pocket. Both leather pieces were made by Keeton Custom Leather.

Still give the 43X a shot. I know owners who always hated Glocks because of the grip angle.
Also if you're considering the P365 you should also consider the M&P Shield Plus.

I didn't downvote you but you're not in sub compact territory with the macro. Nothing wrong with that but the guy's considering a Hellcat and the macro isn't really in the same class.

size comparison

The buttplate of the macro is the only size difference. Everything else is spot on.

Great website for evaluating carry options, btw

I have a 9mm XD (Springfield). I too carry at 6 oclock (IWB). I have heard the questions about reaction time limited 6pm vs 3-4pm carry.

It is balance of comfort, safety and protection. I would not carry a 380 if I have a 9mm or 40 Cal available.

If he meant the pro, yes. Most people are talking about the micro when they’re discussing carrying a Hellcat. The Macro and Pro are in between a G19 and a G17. That’s not subcompact. That doesn’t mean they’re bad guns, but it means someone looking at Shields or Hellcat micros probably isn’t going to be interested in them.

Same. Sigs and FN work for me. Been eyeing the 365.

Me either...

Until I shot the 43 and 43x

You'll want to go handle them also.

I ended up not liking the 365and the hellcat as their trigger guard dug into my middle finger

The LCP MAX is my pocket gun. Definitely recommend it. Get the MAX version. Same footprint as the LCPII but with better capacity. Love it for when I have to pocket carry or need something smaller than the HK on my belt.

Second this. You aren’t going to assault anything with that pistol, but it disappears in your pocket and gives you 11 rounds. Hard to beat.

Picked up a P365x w/ manual safety tac pack. $604 out the door.

Sadly, already lost in a boating accident on the way home.

Sig put the red dot milling on the macro in front of the-rear sight so you don’t lose it like on the XL.

You can't use the sights with a red dot attached anyway unless you upgrade to suppressor height or something. Correct?

Was all set for this to be my next purchase.

Then the CZ P-01 went on sale this week for $515.

Just get the 365 X - has the longer grip like the XL with the shorter barrel like the standard 365, and is optics ready with the same trigger as the XL unlike the standard 365.

Taurus GX4

Do research. They are the best bang for the buck And have ZERO negative reviews.

It’s my EDC and I own the hellcat, 43x and the P365, and the Ruger Max-9

What are legal consequences of carrying concealed without a permit in Louisiana ?

Do you know of anyone ticketed or arrested for doing so??

Some of them are low enough now that you can use regular sights, as long as you can use the original mill slot and not an adapter plate. Holosun has one, Crimson Trace, there are probably others.
