Any of you baws have experience with the Sportsman Boats?

Have a 2017 227 Masters, we've been happy with it. Had two nautic stars before this one and they were also good rigs. And also like nautic stars, I've had a few minor issues with loose fittings from livewell connections, etc. but would put the fit and finish overall of Sportsman a bit higher than Nautic Star.

Let me know if you have specific sportsman questions. The SIMRAD system with touch screen and the e-card for your area is def the way to go, light years more user friendly than the Lowrance units I had on previous boats.......and both brands are owned by same parent company.

Our boat is in Shell Beach, happy to let you ride it sometime if I was down that way.

Well suggesting Hewes is pretty good advice. Look at 15 year old Hewes, Maverick, and Pathfinder boats. Majority are still in great shape and last through several repowers.

I concur.

Check out MBGforum.com. Bunch of nice Hewes, Mavs, and Pathfinders. I really like the 18/21 Hewes Redfisher. Got fricked over by a guy in Mandeville on a 21. Im still pissed about that!
