I am posting this for my buddy that is trying to find some good looking nerf bars for his 2012 F-150. He has the XLT crew cab model (2wd). The ones pictured are Raptor 6inch oval step bars. What do you guys think about these? Does anyone have a good brand they would like to share?

I like the black tube style ones. Other than those, they suck.

I'm pretty sure my Grandmother had that same van when I was young. Lots of good memories in that thing

Took mine off. Thinking about picking up some of the welded ones to match the two tone bottom on mine though, they fit a lot tighter

Bboothe I believe I have to go with 4" platinum oval Westins due to this excellent response

I think the closer to stock you can keep it the better off you will be. Hard to go wrong with Westin.

I had Westin black oval steps. The powder coat started coming off in a couple years from rocks and jackasses stepping on the powder coated part instead of the giant plastic piece you're supposed to step on.

I have a Lariat that came with the power step bars. They are nice until you have to replace them. The motor tends to go out in them at some point. I had some black Westins on my old Tacoma. They were on the truck when I bought it. They were nice bars though.

Get some rock sliders. I have the factory Ford step things on my truck and they are both bent. Once I get some square tubing I am gonna make some for myself.
