I like my Omega 36M. It does great on everything I’ve used it on from 9mm through .308.
BUT… if I had it to do over again, I’d get a dedicated 9mm suppressor and a .308 cal suppressor (for .308 and 5.56), then eventually get a dedicated 5.56 suppressor.

Oh ok. I thought hearing protection was still needed with a suppressed rifle round.

nah we stand 3' apart and let off 5-20 rounds each at a group of pigs and I don't even notice the other guy(s) shooting.
Like previously said you still have a little crack but fine for the naked ear

I have the silencerco specwar 762 and love it. I got it on sale, that’s the only reason I picked it over the omega. It’s heavy, but we’ll built. They might’ve discontinued, but not sure.

Thanks for all the responses. I think I have it narrowed down to the Trash Panda and Omega300. The Omega is a little cheaper and they are running a special for a free can. I think that may be the winner.
My main goal is just to make this a funner rifle to shoot. I did a trigger job on it this summer and will order an Boyds stock soon.

I want to order one myself. Trying to find a dealer in Houma.
When going to Silencer Shop it’s only giving me dealers in Kansas.

Is it legal to deer hunt with a suppressor in Louisiana these days? Thinking about getting one myself.

I want it for hog hunting in MS. I actually found a dealer not far from me.

It’s legal to hunt with one in damn near every state.

another vote for an Omega. I have an Omega and a Hybrid and really like both, but love the Omega for my 308, 270wsm, 300BO, 300mag, and 6.5creedmoor (all bolt action). it didn't seem to make much difference on my AR or AK, but believe that was due to noise/gas coming back through the action as opposed to the bolt actions. in my opinion, its hearing safe for a few rounds with all of these calibers. It also seems like the Anchor Brake does make a significant difference in reduced recoil.
The hybrid with a 30 cal end cap seems to have about the same reduction to my ears. i use it mainly on a 45-70 marlin, but would also recommend it if you were looking for one to use on larger calibers in addition to 30 cals.
If money wasn't an issue, i'd probably choose the Thunderbeast 7 or 9. i have a friend with both and seem a little quieter and lighter and had less POI shift.
My cousin just purchased a deadair nomad titanium and really likes it. He has an omega also, but prefers the nomad due to it being lighter. To him, the omega seemed slightly quieter.
Good luck with whatever you choose.

I went in to look at a few more and they talked me into a Dead Air Nomad-30. There were no Omega's in stock. Now for the wait. The new E-file system is starting in a week or so. It supposed to speed up the wait. I will wait to file until then.

Did the shop have a silencer shop kiosk?
If so, go ahead. I read from them that if you buy from them they will send it in by e-file so you can get in the front of the line.
I just got a stamp in last week. From a silencer that I bought in Jan 21

Correct. I used the kiosk. After reading up it will automatically e-file.
