I've noticed through online shopping that there appears to be literally hundreds to choose from and it's hard to tell what's good quality or not. I'm also unclear on what size I should look for, if heights vary or how long of a top I should purchase.

Boat is an Xpress H22 Bay. TIA for your help.

My dad has the same boat with a Bimini top, can't stand that thing. I think we used it 1 times and it's gathered dust since.

Width is fixed and needs to fit your beam, height is from mounting point on gunnel to how tall you want it (constraint is from mounting point towards back of motor….when not in use) and length is how much coverage you want when deployed.

Square tube seems to be heavy duty and for pontoons. Bay boats seem to have round tube and can be aluminum or stainless steel. I have an aluminum, 3 bow round tube that came with boat. I did have a new top made as the old one ripped. Used Sunbrella and they aren’t cheap.

Definitely get a zippered boot for it. Mine is installed on a track so it can be adjusted.

I have a Carver 3 bow on a h20b. I’d probably get a 4 bow for your boat. I purchased my Bimini from bent marine. I didn’t want a Bimini but the wife did so I ended up ordering quick release brackets offAmazon that work great.

I got a cheap one off amazon and I have been happy with it. I don't use it a lot, but when the wife and kids are on the boat it goes up.

Not sure what you got downvoted for but how long is it when deployed and does your Pop want to sell it?

Most definitely. Thx.

Didn't know that's how they're classified but it makes sense now that you and another poster mentioned that.
Yeah, I definitely want a 4 bow then...which is probably 8ft when deployed? Idk.

Great advice. Didn't think of that. Gonna look them up.

And now you know why I'm getting one.

Don’t get it because you’ll never use it and it’s a PITA

I’ve used mine on my ski boat once in 5 years, and that was only because a bad storm blew up and raining so hard it hurt to drive back, so we stopped the boat and put the top up and huddled under it till it passed

Amazon.

Put the top up after filling the box then crack open a white can for the long ride in.

I dont know how you guys that dont like them can stay out in the summer heat.

Personally I don't mind it much but when I'm with a buddy and he has his top up I appreciate the shade. I'm doing it for the wife and kids.
