No. But it was close to the house. Maybe 5 miles as the crow flies. Couple of school ha to shelter in place for a few hours. Bad thing was we never found out until I saw it in the OT after the fire was under control.

Talked to a guy today that works there and he said no injuries. So that was good.

I KNOW for a fact if we stood back to back we could hold off a bunch, cause we stood toe to toe and bashed the shite out of each other on TV, 36 years ago..

That old plant was a hunk of junk when Westlake bought it. They like to buy those old plants for cheap and spend as little money as possible to get them back running.

We might have to call timeout about evety 5 minutes for a beer and a nap but I believe we could hold our own.

If we lose this baseball game you two can go crack some skulls in that dugout to light a fire in their arse.

Personally, I think a bike that costs over $1k is a little bit overkill to ride any trail in south la, especially the spillway trail. It's flat here. Don't get me wrong, I love the spillway trail as it's all I've got within 30 mins of nola thats even remotely fun to ride, but you don't need a $1k+ bike for that. Now if you plan to ride more technical and difficult trails in other parts of the country, a more expensive bike might be needed.
I recommend looking at Specialized, Giant, Jamis, and Felt. Treks are also ok, but I find that you pay a premium for their name.
Check out Eric at Eastbank Cyclery in Kenner if ya can. He's cool and knows his stuff.
