Any good battery or solar powered led options?

Cheap and easy would be to mount a 100W 12V solar panel/power regulator kit with a deep-cycle SLA battery and a 12V LED strip light. Will provide basically enough light to see your stuff and can add additional strips if you need more. Linkable LED modules that can produce a lot more light are generally 24VDC and that jumps the prices up a bit. Tons of places sell "off-grid" solar lighting kits and parts to make your own.

Couple of questions,
1) Will this be a permanent installation or do you anticipate running power out there in the future?
2) Is this for an occasional use or will the lights be on often?
3) Budget?

I have two Ge AA battery powered LED lights from home Depot. Mounted across from the door and have motion sensing that works well. They are bright enough for my 12x12, and they were cheap and simple.

These.
There was an awesome youtube video of some guys that put solar on top the shed and powered lights and chargers for drills and such. Think they were sponsored by ryobi. Think they spent $7500, but that included the shed.

How much light do you need?

Permanentish
Occasional use, very little at night where light needed. Thinking of motion detection option.

On ebay you can buy some RV Interior LED lights, I think a 5 pack or so is about $30. They are surface mount and you can put them anywhere, wire to a central switch, wire switch to a battery, and use a HF solar panel to make sure battery is always hot.

The carcass of one of those HF lights is still hanging over my shop. Piece of crap didn't last a month...

My neighbor installed a couple in his carport. They have been working for about 6 months. He mounted two of those little solar panels on the roof and shot screws through the shingles. It looks like shite

I had this problem a few years ago at my little deer camp/shed. I considered the battery and solar panel options.
I found it easier to use the LED light that came with my power tools...
And a Coleman Duel Fuel lantern.

I've also purchased Mr Beams stuff. I've got 3 floods around my house, very bright, batteries have lasted over a year, couldnt be happier for price.
