What you thinking on a shallow water anchor?

I consider my powerpole as valuable as anything else on the boat. If you're going to get one, might as well get it rigged initially.

Power pole 66% lean
Ipilot trolling motor + 6' stainless marsh anchor 33% lean

Good thought.

Obviously, both are easy to add. Some of the pole setups use a plate mounted between the outboard and the boat, (mine is like this), so it might be easier to get it initially, but still not a huge deal.

I guess if you've got to choose, the TM is more important.

I just love being able to hit the button on the remote hanging on your neck and the boat stops dead. No rope laying on the deck, no muddy anchor to step around, no muscle involved, etc. Wish I'd invented that thing.

A shame about the engine.

My wife read this and thinks I hate our boat.

Thats a nice boat, but frick them if they think i'm paying 54k for that. there are better boats on the market for that price range. Or i'd spend less and buy a loaded out Blazer Bay or something. You can damn near get anything in that price range.... of course with a few exceptions.

I think its spot on as for what it goes for but I liked nautic stars better when they were more affordable. Boat is fully loaded though

Too new. I'd look for older.

Im trying to find a 22-24 ft boat with a 200hp(would really like 250) four stroke or bigger. Trying to find something 2010 or newer. Its been a bitch to say the least. People are either asking brand new prices or the boat is trashed or under powered. I really want a blazer bay but also open to nautic star and several others

I may just have to nut up and buy new

I don't know, bourgs. That's pretty high for a used boat. That boat brand new is probably that much.

And as far as used for the one I'm looking for, they're so new that there's no used market. : (

I sent 6 requests for quotes last night. We'll see.

When I bought mine, I kept shopping just to see if I fudged up. I gave up 5 months later. Would never have bought anything. Really wanted a Skeeter.

Call around to some dealers and see if they have any unsold 2011s-2013s sitting around. We bought our Blue Wave Pure Bay 2200 in 2011 and it's a 2009 hull...but since it was unsold, I think we were able to get it registered as a 2010 hull. It had been sitting on the lot for a while and we got it at a good price considering how it's rigged and what they retail for.

That boat is pretty loaded. Says zero hours on the motor, and it's a 2014. Be interesting to know the story behind that.

I didn't shop new ones enough to know where it stands... but I agree, for that budget I'd be looking for something a year or two old.
