And yes, if offered, I'd trade my 22 for a 24.

I always tell my buddy this when we're are fishing out of his shearwater. Damn near impossible to drink a beer at 65-70mph

As far as the T-top. I have a 20 ft boat with one. As long as you don't bring any retards fishing it really isn't an issue.

Concerning t-tops, how much would a standard custom package run? Noting fancy with all kinds of accessories, just something with nice finish that fits up to the console. I like the look of this "one size fits all" one but the way the legs come down next to the console seems to take up too much space. This is a Srtyker t-top on the nautic star XTS 214:

That looks to be collapsible. I would say they can range anywhere from 1200-2500 depending on bells and whistles.

Oh yeah, must be removable or collapsible to fit under the camp.

A good buddy of mine was thinking of selling his 24' nautic star a few months back. I know he still has it so I just sent him a message to see what he was asking for it. I'll post the details when i hear back from him...

***I'm pretty sure he has both AC & DC onboard batter chargers also, but i'm not 100% on that.***

Yeah it is. I forgot to mention that this is the boat he guides out of. My buddy got on the Nautic Star guide program & he got a very good deal on the boat when he bought it. For that price it's a steal for someone that is looking for a used boat.

I like the boat but the motor isn't what I would hang on there. How does that big bitch run with that 225 on there. Bourg has the same boat and they have a 300 yammy

I have a buddy with a 24' triton that has a Honda 225 and I have seen him do 42mph with 6 people in the boat but I still would rather at least a 250hp on a 24'. Other buddies with 22-24' boats have 250-300hp on their boats. So a 225hp isn't terrible but it can use bigger

Not sure I'd want a t-top on our boat...feel like it would annoy me more than anything; but I'd be lying if I said I could do without shade. That white decking reflects everything right back to you, like getting baked.

I do wish my dad would bring the boat in to get re-propped. The dealer told us he didn't think he had the right one on it when we bought it. My dad is content, but it bugs me for some reason. It's a 22' boat with a Yamaha 250 and it tops out at around 55-57 with minimal gear and two guys. Seems a bit off.

Y'all been doing okay out there? I know my dad was worried with the conditions it'd be slow last time y'all went.

That's a nice rig at a good price. As someone else mentioned, Merc 225 wouldn't be my first choice...but I could live with it.

Any chance its light blue and he keeps it in Dularge? And been partially sunken?

depends on where you use it- but if you intend any rough water you want to be at 23-24 foot minimum

I have no idea how fast it runs with the 225 on it but I'm sure if you are interested in the boat he will let you take it out for a test run. He is a guide on big lake & several guys here have fished with him out of that boat. Capt. Jared Adams. Maybe someone will chime in on their personal experience on the boat... Just give him a call if interested....

We're doing okay. Weather has sucked this winter on the days when me and my buddies could fish.

We're learning though. Appreciate ya'll working with on us on the camp.

I talked to him & he said it runs 52 mph with the 225.
