meopro made in czech republic, assembled in USA. Meopros have 1" main tube and top out at 50mm objective, Meostars (higher end) have 30mm tubes and the 56s.
top notch glass, top notch coatings. I'm getting a meostar, myself. Very high end stuff for the money.
Get the Meopro 3-9x50 or the 4-12x50

What website sells them?

The Meopta Meostar on my 30-06 is clearer than my Ziess Conquest on my 7mag. Leupold VX-6 is still my favorite in that price range FWIW.
Once you get past that price range I haven't been able to see a difference in a high end Meopta or Leupold and a Swarvoski, Schmidt Bender, or a Kahles, but I've never shot a deer a midnight on a new moon either.

Maybe so. I'm a Leupold blow hard through and through because I've always been pleased with them.
I've seen a few Zeiss and meoptas and I don't see how they're better than each other or leupolds of similar price. My eye can't tell the difference from one $500 scope to the other. I can't say I notice much difference in anything between $500 and $1000 that I've ever looked through. The only thing I remember standing out was a $2k Swarovski.
I do know that I'm not particularly fond of Zeiss. They seem to have very critical eye relief. And I don't like nikons because of the "looking-through-a-tube" effect they all seem to have. Leupolds are perfect.

Leupold uses German glass, so does Vortex to my knowledge.
Nikon does not.

im the total opposite. eye relief is awful for me on Leupolds.

It may have changed but a gunsmith told me the higher end "VX-_ Gold Ring" scopes use lenses from Europe. He followed it with "they're all shite, compared to Schmidt Bender and Bausch & Lomb" and "buy a Meopta for the money" so I had no reason to believe otherwise.
