So far me and the wife are on the same page. No need to waste a bunch of money on furniture for the baby room. Fully furnished now, just taking the bed out and putting in a crib. She doesn't want to paint the room, it a nice soft green color now, so it will work for either a boy or girl. Most of our friends have young children so the house has been kid proofed already.
How do I go about picking a pediatrician? Dr. said start looking around month 3. Do you set up a kind of interview with potential Dr.s? I've talked with friends and coworkers and have a decent size list of "good" ones. How do I narrow it down?

Best thing we ever did was not learn the sex of our first child. Besides the surprise for us, it bugged the shite out of all our friends and family. What really got them is the lack of a firm name even after the kid was born for a couple of hours. Lots of agitation, it was glorious...

I'm in anesthesia so I'm there for the birthing of a lot of babies. It's awesome when parents don't find out the sex of the baby.
As far as a pediatrician, ask around and don't be afraid to switch if you're not happy with who you choose!

Apparently my wife has a high tolerance to opiates. She had already had a epidural with the first kid when it was decided to c-section. She was pushed something else when they started cutting and she yelled and screamed at the top of her lungs. Before they made the last cut the anesthesiologist pushed something else that he said was enough to kill a horse and she still yelled and screamed from the pain. On the second kid I warned them ahead of time...

Laangler, get an interview and like infidel said dont be afraid to change. We started with marzullo and werent happy so we tried Rhodes next. Went to danivis after that and wouldnt change for the world. Love the way he handles and cares for my 3. Def recommend you try him. He doesnt have a fancy office like some of them around here, but his care is better than the two others we used for sure. Wouldnt give up my daddy days to be single again for nothing in the world. Cant wait to get off and take my 3 yo girl fishing today.

I'm sure we've seen each other around. Spent my whole career at Cabrini. I hear ya about not going back again. My son is adopted and it was a long hard road to get him. I would LOVE to do it again, but I don't see it happening. That's the reason I'm not posting pics. I'm kind of weird about it due to our situation.

Great looking kids! Mine are well past that stage now. Daughter is a freshman at SLU and my son in 12. On the bright side, my son says I'm his best friend still and goes EVERYWHERE with me. I'm just waiting on girls to come into the picture and ruin it for me.

No 2 days ago. The house on the corner of rapides and cooper. He got drunk and started shooting shite up at his house (lives alone) My buddy went and tried to get him to calm down. Called cops to help him. Instead over 50 cops, swat team and all showed up. They blasted him over 50 times in front of my padnuh because he had his pistol in his hand still. We didn't find out. Even when they took him out it was about 5 minutes before they told us it was a boy. He came out and straight to resucitation.

First, get a list of ones approved by your insurance. Cross check it with the list you have from friends. Pick one or two and go talk with them. You can ask your wife's OBGYN too.

Not sure, its was on the news all day yesterday. The sheriffs dept is covering up what really happened. KALB has it on their FB page too. Hilton said in the interview that he was shot twice. There is 27 holes in his shop alone from the guys shooting in that direction. Did it in front of the son too.
