This is my first Axis and it took about a year for the mount to get done.

I'm not really a mount guy, but that is very nice. Congrats!

Some of the finest venison to eat, how’d you like it? I bet you don’t have any left

I have a little left and eating backstrap tonight for dinner. I shot a Nilgai bull and 1 whitetail buck so had plenty of meat to pick from.

It’s way better than whitetail.

Exactly why my father only gives me his extra whitetail.

I’d love to try it. And that mount is badass.

Yall have a lot of blackbuck? They showed up thick this year in Edwards Co.

I’ve pretty much been skull mounting everything lately. Easier to find a spot for them.

I’ve seen 1 black buck doe but we have lots of Sika, Axis, Aoudad, and a chocolate fallow or two.

Whitetail sucks but plenty of pigs. We are lucky to see 1 deer per year over 130 inches but not sure they even break 130. I’m starting my 3rd year on the place and only killed 1 axis and a ton of pigs

I’m going to try and kill a trophy Nilgai bull and a mature whitetail on my ranch this year. Lease I’ll take an aoudad over 30 inches, axis 32 inches and up or a good 8 point sika. Had a couple 8 point sika deer last year but they seemed a little short to me but I’m terrible a judging them.

I just saw the pile of horns next to the axis. Looks like someone smoked a few

Our whitetail are lucky to break 100” and 100lbs. But I did see an elk last year and shot a sika too.

Awesome mount. Did you use a taxidermist in the Houston area? If so, who if you don't mind me asking.
