Love my mucks. Comfy as can be and keep my feet warm and toasty in the cold.

That's all I've worn in last 20 years, no problems.

muck wetlands 3+ yrs - very comfy, no leaks etc. Use them for upland when its wet, duck blind, layout hunting etc. Warm enough until its really cold in Canada. Ok for walking in upland but if its dry I will use a pair of hiking boots that are designed for walking. Will I buy another pair - yep. That is the acid test for me, if I own something would I buy another one once its worn out

Update:
Bowie had the Grange, but not in my size, so I'm going to stick with the Mucks. Wore them around the house yesterday evening. They are comfy for a pair of rubber boots.

Funny you posted this thread. I just bought a new pair of Grange last week to replace a pair that are 34 years old and STILL do not leak. They have some dry rot in spots on the outer layer; but the inner layer is still intact and do not leak. I also have 2 pair Mucks. The first pair are Wetland and made in USA. Soles peeled off three times (shoe repair shop fixed twice, third time i just Shoe Goo'ed them). They are extremely warm and tough on the outers. The inside tends to wear out in the heel and then they begin to get uncomfortable. I bought a new pair last year (Woody Sport) from TSC on sale $99. They are Chinese and not even close to the quality of the old USA boots. But they are very comfortable, so hopefully I get several years out of them.

I'm hoping these Mucks last me a few years at least. But I'm not going to glue a sole back together if it peels apart. I'll just be more prepared next time and order a new pair of Grange before I actually need them.
But who knows, maybe these bad boys will last me 5+ years. I would be very happy is they do.
Considering they were only $80, I wouldn't be pissed if they fail after two or three years. But if I bought one of the $150+ pair and they did that, I would be pissed.

Are there any rubber boots that are locally made now?

Then last year for some idiotic reason I replaced them with Cabelas brand.
They’re comfortable too, we’ll see how long they last.
Same here. I saw the Cabela's on clearance about 1.5 years ago and bought them. So far so good, but haven't had them long enough to say whether they hold up. But they are comfortable and warm and they were very affordable at the time. i bought a size up to be able to get on and off easier, i wish I would have gone two sizes up. They are snug.

I was just having this conversation with my brother. I've had Mucks for a while now, trailblazer and Wetland. I tried a pair of his lacrosse Aero on and they were much more comfortable in my opinion/ I'm thinking on going back to lacrosse Grange and get a pair of those Aeros for something more insulated. My mucks have been tough though, they hold up very well and the wetlands are pretty warm. Im on the fence

I have a 10 year old pair of Muck Scrubs. Heavy abusive use! The tread on the sole is wore down to slick. They are still hanging in there and have always been very comfortable.

am trying DryShod now.
Love my Dryshods. They are my cottonmouth hunting boots.
Dryshod was started by the same guy who founded Muck boots. He sold off Muck to a conglomerate or whatever, the quality declined, and he started Dryshod and made a better boot again.

Like others said my first pair of Mucks lasted probably 8 years and I was rough as hell on them. I replaced them 2 years ago and that pair didn't make it a year. Not sure if I should buy another pair or move on. Before, you couldn't have paid me to try any other brand but with how quickly my 2nd pair wore out I'm scared to try them again.
I always bought the edgewaters but they changed the design and I think the curved seam is responsible for the leaking that occurred

I bought these 3 years ago and have been extremely happy. Know a guy who swears by them and has had his since the mid 90’s

I had a pair of Muck Woody Max that lasted forever and were maybe the most comfortable thing I’ve ever put on my feet.
I bought a pair of lacrosse alpha snake boots to replace them and the comfort isn’t even close.
