I just lost a 20+ pound today but I really really suck at triple tail fishing. I’m sure some of you guys can go out there and catch two or three that big. They are stacking up on the bouy now and the Kobe fall running is about to start as well.

Man, I wish I could get out there!

Got some filets from Maria's yesterday and cooked last night. Big ol filets, delicious. Would love to catch one. I don't see or hear about people catching them inshore around here in pcola bay though.

What body of water are you fishing?

Isn't it getting to be the time of year when you make a thread asking a poster (i forget who) about how the flounder fishing is and the guy has no clue why you're asking him and lives in like Tennessee?

Are tripletail picky about water depth or water clarity?
Do you recommend looking in areas with cleaner water?

Sight fishing with polarized sunglasses.
They hide around anything floating or on the surface.
Most people target buoys and crab trap floats.
Eastern side of Lake Borgne and the Biloxi marsh are known areas.
Easy to spook, so be quiet and slow.

I understand that, but does it increase the odds to look in cleaner water, or do they not care?
Thanks for advice

It helps spotting them, especially if they are suspending and not on surface. They can and will reside in some chocolate water though
