He can hit a coffee can with the irons but said he wanted a scope on his gun like my guns have. Well I just had to oblige him. Put a rail on it and a Bushnell 1-4x off an AR on it. The buck is so small it looked silly with even the relatively small
1-4x. All the small rimfire or air rifles scopes used dovetails. So I grabbed a $7 Tasco 4x out of the air rifle section and a set of $6 1" scope mounts. Has to do some redneck engineering to get the 3/4" scope in a 1" hole. I thought it turned out good. My son loves it.

Nice man!

My son turns 3 in June. He's already received his first 12 gauge, but won't shoot it for a while. Can't wait to get him in the woods with his first air rifle.

OK I lied. Just shot a 1" group at 5 meters. Shooting about 1.5" low at that distance

Is that adhesive I'm seeing under the rail?

Neat job. But it needs more rail for a light. Needs a suppressor also.
LOL. Good job dad

Yeah. There is a screw on the back rear that I used to hold the rear and line up the rail. JB weld under the rest of the rail to hold it in place. I used a rail that has a curve to it so it lined itself up to the barrel/receiver when I tightened the rear screw.
