I bought 2 boxes in metairie and did a direct comparison with the yeti. (Just so happened the FIL just gave my wife the Yeti the same day we bought the ones from Sams.
The only differences noted:
The ones from Sams are 18/10 stainless and the Yeti is 18/12 or 18/8 (i don't recall but its one off. (Not that it should be a huge difference?) Yeti is slightly darker but this would only be noticeable if the 2 were literally side by side.
Yeto top has black gasket with drink hole fixed. Sams version to has a sliding gate that will close the drink hole. Sams version has a white gasket also. The tops are interchangeable between the two brands.
Also Yeti version of the tops lip is uniform around the circumference. On the Sams version, at the drink hole it is tapered up to create greater depth. So what.
The stamped or machined lined about a half inch of the bottom of the cups is just ever so slightly more pronounced on the Yeti.....So what.
Yeti is 3d stamped "YETI" so what
Havent tested ice yet (The only test that matters)

My new F150 cup holders can't hold a 16oz bottle of water without it falling over when I turn. Is there a insert made for the F150 cupholders so your drink doesn't go flying?

Yeti makes a 10oz rocks glass. I like it a whole lot.
This is the only one I kinda want. I got thousands of oilfield coffee mugs. They all work just fine. I don't need my drink hot or cold that long.
I would like to keep my ice from melting into my whiskey though. Maybe I should just get some of those metal ice cubes

I just used the one for my backseat passengers

I didn't look closely before throwing the box away but I don't recall seeing the MM tumblers labeled as "vacuum insulated"
Not sure if they are or aren't or how much of a difference it would make.

Nado, I will tell you they work good.
Only problem is you'll have to be particular about your whiskey intake the first few times you use it. You'll find yourself adding whiskey more frequently since the ice doesn't melt as fast.

Well, not really.
Just a alcohol management technique.

I am sure it is. That is what makes them work. Heat cannot travel through a vacuum.

After 5 minutes of googling, it seems 18/10 and 18/8 are the same with the exception of 18/10 having more nickel which makes the product more sturdy and lighter in color
So on the surface when you factor in the lid(which is somewhat better than the yeti lid) you'd have to give the edge to the members mark tumbler...I'm doing a side by side comparison tonight between a 30 once yeti and 30 ounce mm

So if I wasn't a member of Sams, do I just pay extra or do I have to buy a membership?
Posted on 5/3/16 at 8:31 am to Hu_Flung_Pu
I think you can print a 1-day pass to use but they charge a surcharge when using it
Posted on 5/3/16 at 8:33 am to Hu_Flung_Pu
They tack on 10%...so the tumblers would cost you $22+tax
Posted on 5/3/16 at 8:33 am to gsvar2004
when they begin making Makers Mark tumblers i'll put my Yeti down.

I wish this thread would go away for the last three days I have clicked on this thing wanting to see what Maker's Mark tumblers look like.....
Could care less about the others plus and minuses but Maker's Mark would get my attention very quickly!
