Don't get in a hurry, and buy used. I found a 2010 Lariat last year with under 50k miles for $15k. 2WD though.

Ill never have another vehicle note. I can't understand a $600/month note on something that essentially depreciates to nothing in 10-12 years. You can buy a $150k house for $600/mo.

If you're set on new, look up Mac Haik online. Their prices are the best I've seen. Not sure if they come off the Internet price much though.

Absolutely not. But do you really believe that 50% of these trucks on the road have owners that can really afford them? I don't.

Just because one finances something does not mean they cannot afford it.

I think the term "afford" means different things to different people. I have a hard time believing all the people on the road with new f250's are financially comfortable. I can afford one and be comfortable, but i cant bring myself to buy one.

Yes im jelly.

I'm driving an 2004 f150 lariat 4x4 with 160,000 miles. The truck runs great and has been well maintained. People try to talk me into buying a new one and I usually start looking, but can't get myself to actually do it. Are any of you out there putting 200-300K miles on your F150?

I plan to do that, I got 292k miles on my 250. It was to the point where I was about to drop more than the truck was worth on repairs. That's why I got a new one.

I pretty much have the same truck with 120k miles. It's filthy, scratched, and dented but mechanically sound. In fact, its just getting to the point where I like a truck to be. The point where I can drive it anywhere I want and don't stress about a scratch or dent

If you take care of yours you should have no problem reaching it. Just remember that you can replace the engine and transmission for what a down payment is on a new one.

Same here. I feel like a $600-800 note would eventually keep me from doing something cooler than owning a truck.

Paying a note on something that depreciates is insane.

I have 233K on my 2010 F-150. Obviously I use it for work. I'm getting the itch for a new one, but I feel confident I can run this one to 300K +
