Santa gave me a christmas bonus for a new shotgun.

I'm looking at the below guns. All these guns are in the same price range. I'm not too worried about being able to shoot 3.5's, i already have a turkey gun. This will mainly be used for duck/dove. I haven't gone and shouldered them to see how they feel yet. Just looking for some opinions from other hunters.

Berreta A300
Franchi Affinity
Remington V3
Stoger 3500
Winchester SX4

I'm open to other guns in the $700-800 guns also.

I would probably pick one out of the Berreta or Franchi, but I haven’t shouldered the Winchester.

I have the Berreta A300, and as most will tell you on this board, its a great all around shotgun. Never had an issue in three tough duck seasons.

Full disclosure: its the only semi-auto ive ever owned, and while i love it, i shoot my benelli nova better and just as often.

This will probably be the same for my 870.

What do those Franchi Affinity 3" run at Bowie? Preferably in a camo finish.

This would be the first semi auto shotgun that i will own. I shot an 870 20 gauge when i was growing up and then got a 12 gauge as i got older.

Man, i love my A300. Its light, smooth, and has cycled everything ive put through it in the last two duck seasons. I just got my nova this season.

I got an affinity in black synthetic last year and have been really happy with it. I chose it over the a300 bc I've always shot intertia shotguns.

Probably can't go wrong with either.

I shoot the stoger 3500. I haven’t had any issues with it at all what so ever. I haven’t cleaned it in about 2 years!! Lol I guess I will for the split..

I’m going to look at these as well. I have a buddy that shoots one and loves it.

See which one "fits" you.

One guy might love a gun that you will hate simply because of fit. A good shop can help you with fit.

You will hit a lot better with a gun that fits you LINK

Shot an A300 for the last few years. Good cheap auto. Always went boom

I was in the same position as OP a few months ago. I narrowed my choice down to the SX4 and A300. I went with the SX4 due to its waterfowl build but I plan on getting the A300 as well.

I'd go with one of those. Both are great guns.

Very light and shoots fast. Haven't shot 3.5's with it yet, though.

I like the grip on the forearm, plus the large safety/bolt release. The SX4 is the same gun as the SX3 with a few ergonomic changes (for the better, IMO).
