clicking on your profile, it seems as if 15 of your 17 posts have been deleted. That's pretty impressive

Flight from Slidell to Peoria
a friend of mine said he and another guy flew to hunt once, following the interstate he said the head wind was so bad the trucks on the road were outrunning them.

my son had a lesson a month or 2 ago. He was flying into the wind (Cessna) and his land speed was 15 mph.

Private pilots can only split the cost of fuel. So, on top of my time, my plane (insurance, maintenance, and mortgage) I only have half of the fuel paid for?

What's this about?

This doesn’t seem like a bad deal? So if he pays for all fuel costs and all you donis supply plane and flight and that’s sub $700.

I doubt he would have zero issue with this, as long as you got all the room for ice chests and gear, I’d jump on this seems reasonable and like your taking all the risk, even with him paying for fuel and letting you hunt his land. No if you’re not allowed to let him pay for fuel then that’s dif. I would not want to spend a penny if I’m flying someone, I would be expect to be wined and dined with a good hunt.

Per the regulations private pilots can only be compensated for their pro rata share. So expense of the flight (fuel and oil) the private pilot cannot recieve more than the pro rate share. Meaning divide the cost between whoever is on board. That was even a scenario question during the oral interview to get the license. "Let's say a friend says he has two superbowl tickets in Tampa. He tells you he will give you one if you fly him there. Can you do that?" The answer is no, because a private pilot cannot receive compensation for services. Now, if you had your commercial rating then that would be different, but then enters a whole other volume of regulations.
