Yes, that TSS is absolutely deadly.

From crunching down on shot that might be left in the meat. TSS is like steel shot - there is no give to it and the tiny shot is hard to find and pick out of the meat.

But it also penetrates more. I’ve killed a pile of turkeys with all kinds of shells and it’s rare to have a tungsten pellet in a breast unless shot at 50 yds or more. Under that they generally blow through. I do agree they will hurt a tooth. There’s always a flyer through. I had a pellet in a thigh I ate last night from a turkey I killed at 8 steps. I’d have bet $100 everything hit him in the waddles.

Only place I'm seeing any XR longbeards is Sportsman's Guide, but it's 3" #4's

have an uncle that claims he lets his grandson turkey hunt with a 410 loaded with TSS and he can kill at 60 yards.

I hunt with a 410 with tss.. 40 is no brainer. 60, it could... but need alota skill and luck.

Now my 12ga with tss, 60 is easy.

My wife poleaxed one at a measured 70 yards with a 2 oz. 12 gauge load of #8 TSS. Amazing stuff.

I shoot a 28 gauge with TSS and I’m comfortable shooting out to 50 yards. I use Apex 1 3/8 oz. of 9.5 shot.

Every turkey I have ever shot at has dropped dead using whatever I found at the store. Definitely not anything costing $50 a box.
