re: Lets get back to outdoor topics!! Is anyone seeing any dove?

If you don't have a lot of shooters they have helped me get them in closer. Here in alabama you can't use the battery driven ones so I have a bunch of the windmill types.

I have some with limb clips to put in a tree. Looks like a clothes pin. Most of the windmill ones come with a stake that puts them about a foot off the ground.I put out about six of those and some feeders. I think dove hunting here is a little different cause we shoot alot over peanut fields after we pick them. If you dont have enough shooters to keep them flying you just about have to decoy.

My dad might or might not have used the battery powered dove decoys last year.

WL&F plant fields every year and do several a public hunt, friends have done it and done well. Check their website

Do you hunt doves at sunrise like teal or just anytime in the day?

I hunted with some Mojos last year and they seemed to work for getting the doves to dive in low.
