Shoot your doe and your big rack when you want, seems simple enough.

that is the kind of deer management that crippled our herd a generation ago

Can’t speak for you boys hunting in the pine trees and hills but for us hunting in east side river parishes we absolutely would be in favor of moving season back.. we got too many deer as it is.
They eat the F out of crops just bad as pigs.

We kill all the law will allow, fill the freezers give rest to donate a deer.

Has nothing to do with maximizing kills, it bc of the weather….. Oct is same as august in Louisiana

If I’m a nerd and a stooge I would wager you are trans. Btw the crest sign you are over your head I’m a discussion is when you resort to childish name calling.

Duck season I agree a week or two would be helpful. Deer season I am fine with, if you are one of those places with a later rut, maybe move.

I am for reducing the number of deer killed and limiting the days a few.

If you say so

Nothing like sweating while tracking loading skinning a deer.

Good times

Ducks will be paired off within 2 weeks of the current end of the season...30 days later than that would have a seriously negative impact on breeding. I have heard it from Southern California to Georgia and Florida but it would be a seriously bad idea to hunt ducks on any scale that late in the season on the southern fringe of the wintering grounds.

Mid 60s in the marsh is a recipe for fog and mosquitoes. Stick a deer in late September and it runs a couple hundred yards thru 10' tall roseau and flooded marsh and you get to battle alligators, snakes, mosquitoes, and nutria itch trying to recover it ain't my idea of fun.

They kill ducks well into February in Mexico. Get ducks.com offers a Valentines vacation at a resort where you can legally shoots 20 ducks or 100 shot shells, whichever comes first. I guess now we can blame Mexico too for the duck shortage?
