Looking to get another .30 cal suppressor within the next few months. Haven't been paying attention, but it looks like the tax stamp is no longer required, which is a good thing. How are wait times these days? Any specific places in the BR area that you guys would recommend? Any specific ones to look at? Thanks !!

I bought one last month at interstate guns in Hammond. It took 7 or 8 days including the wknd and I have no complaints with using them.

I doubt you’re going to find any shop that is going that sell a suppressor on a 4473 just yet. You’re still going to have to Form1 for now. The $200 tax is gone.

I’ll look at Interstate in Hammond.

So you still must set up a trust? Just the stamp requirement changed?

There is not a requirement to setup a trust.

a trust is only "necessary" if you're going to have multiple people using the NFA item. it's not really required, but it's an extra level of protection for those users if you're not in their presence.

and it's only really required if it's going to be registered. if/when you purchase with simply a 4473, none of this is going to matter.

I ordered 3 on Friday from sport center in Natchez and it cleared by Monday ready for pick up. Crazy fast. Taking longer for me to have two gun barrels threaded

And the rifles are finished. Tax free weekend is coming up. If you are close to Natchez I highly recommend going to sports center. It could not have been easier and had good prices too.
