it's on your land and it's legal the whatever but I hardly call that hunting.

You truly are a CA moron. They don't "hunt" the foxes they just like to hear the dogs chase. You don't belong on an SEC based board if you don't know about running foxes in the south.

I grew up in a club that allowed dog hunting. They would make a few runs on Saturdays late in the year. However, we leased 8,000 acres at the time. I don't think anybody has problems with dog hunting on large leases or large private tracts. We all know the problem is with the guys running dogs on small tracts or blatantly running them on other people's property.

As for dogs, my first instinct is the catch them and try to return them to the owner with the hope that it was a mistake or we could come to an agreement. After that, the dog gets to take a long ride. In most cases, the dogs you see running on other people's property are poorly maintained and are a direct reflection of their owners.

This was mid-late 60s. My PaPa was a fireman in Tuscaloosa when Bryant Denny had a Fire Station under the south end zone stands. He did it with a bunch of other firemen all over western AL and eastern MS. I remember going to Meridian MS to look for dogs that didn't come back with the pack.

Yep, once they ban one thing they won’t stop. It’s a damn shame that still and dog hunters can’t get along to fight the snowflakes together.

My father in law was a big dog hunter back in the day and he would do this too... his explanation was that he couldn't help if the dogs couldn't read posted signs. I know at least one of his dogs was shot by an irate landowner.
Know a guy who's father in law shot every one of his neighbors pack after months of him trying to stop them from running his cattle. Dropped them off the on neighbors drive way, in broad daylight, and told'em them they'd be hearing from his lawyer. IN this day and age we all thought it unwise until he won in court. He was able to prove the cattle were losing weight from being run and therefore costing him money.

Alabama case - Your mileage my vary.
