Deer will come check out a clear cut at night. I was told by the old timers that deer love the smell of fresh turned dirt. I dont know if its true but you can gurranty that there will be deer tracks in a clear cut during the night. If they are cutting it now and will be cutting it up until deer season, I'd say this year is shot, but next year will be great. All the activity will make them go nocturnal this year.
