I am not fishing this weekend. Tomorrow I am doing yard work and planting flowers and shite. Sunday I am putting my new trolling motor on my boat.

Guessing the old one didn't pass testing today? I gotta cut my damn grass this weekend too, and weed the flower bed. But that shite is going to wait until after I fish.

Launched in the vermilion river earlier to test my trolling motor. Water is muddy and the current is bad. Pro tip, don’t go there.

Hope you washed the shite film off of your boat afterwards

Lake Martin. It oughta be interesting. The lake will probably already be slammed. Then, add a club holding a tournament. I might have to bring my own tree to pitch at.

You should have all the main lake ledges to yourself though.

C'mon ya'll the Vermilion aint that bad. I have had to use trolling motor and engine at idle to get back to rotary point from Abbeville once.

I still wouldn’t swim in it though.

I spent many years knee boarding the Verm in the 80's, I haven't grown an extra appendage yet.

Pillage,

Went to Lake Martin yesterday. Ended up with 2 bass and 6 sacs. Felt good for not every fishing that grassy mf’er.

Speaking of knee boarding. Where do you guys go for that around here? I always went to Lake Dauterive growing up. This will be my first summer with a boat and I want to try and get my little one on a tube.

I would say Henderson, but I don’t knee board.

Henderson is good. Bigeaux and Pelba are both wide open and good for knee boarding and skiing.
