I used to swim in Bayou Lafourche in the 80’s. I wouldn’t swim in there now either.

Henderson will probably see 18’ before all
Is said and done. I think it may be a while before it gets “good”.

Yeah, but if I remember correctly it was because of a tip from someone you know. If I were fishing Henderson right now I’d probably try that same spot.

Yeah, my gf and i went to chicot. Launched out the north. Fished mostly cypress trees and gum trees. I caught one bass, my gf caugh what i thought was a pike. According to a biologist friend of mine it was actually a "train pickeret". It was quite entertaining watching her reel that bad boy in on a zebco not much action, but the weather was nice. Probably gonna head to lake martin after lunch tomorrow.

Took my boat to Spanish lake to test my trolling motor. At 7 minutes 43 seconds the power cut out again and never returned. I guess I will try to find the breaker and see if that is the problem. I am so fed up with this piece of shite.

That is very specific. Is this your new trolling motor?

Damn, janky. Thats tough luck. I just finished fiddling with my boat. After cutting grass, weeding, mulching, and planting a few new plants in the flower bed, me and the ole lady went to lake martin. It was not kind to me. Burnt three fuses on my trolling motor, then finally came to the conclusion that i cannot take my boat to lake martin anymore. Thats the third trip there that i have to replace fuses while fishing. Just cant keep up with the grass and wind. I also replaced the fuel hose. It was dripping pretty good from the fitting of the hose that connects to the tank. Wouldnt you know, academy hoses are now all plastic parts. Im sure thatll last long.

And i didnt get a bite. When do the bream start biting? My gf isnt really taking to the bass fishing yet, mostly bc i havent put her on any yet

Water temp was about 70 degrees.

I saw some people catching small sacs in there a couple of weeks ago. Jigs real shallow and super tight to the trees.

One guy i talked to said some were catching on black hair jigs. We were gonna get some shiners for her to perch fish but the shitty bait shop in carencro was out, so she had to do with worms. Most bass anyone caught that i talked to today was two total. Weather was beautiful yesterday and today, tho, so screw it. I was on the water two days in a row. Happy about that
