North Lake Bigeaux area. I don't know all the names of the canals as that was my first trip there. Ran south but water was bath tub clear so stayed North.

Ok, I was in those pits Friday, had one miss a jig. What is the normal depth in there?

I don't know. That was the first time I have been in there in years. I was in the one south of I-10. I tried to fish the grass off of the levee and had one swing at a fluke. Then jumped to the other side flipping brush and caught two small ones. I could actually see some bank not too far back.

Pool stage is 9 ft (on thePelba gauge) if I remember correctly.
Posted on 6/19/17 at 9:25 am to PillageUrVillage
Dang, and it is at 17Ft. right now?

A lot of areas I fished last week aren't fishable when the water is at normal levels.

Thats about right. I have the La1 card in my lowrance. It showed me on land but depth was around 9'.
Think I need to clear my trail when the water falls so I don't run my shite aground.

Been having any luck in Henderson? We caught a few this morning before I had to come to work.

Pillage, thinking of hitting 2 o'clock soon. Do they have a good kayak launch there?
Posted on 7/20/17 at 12:36 pm to Uncle JackD
Yeah you can easily launch there. Let me know when you go, I'll go meet you out there.

I see your question has been answered. Good, cause I still haven't been out there.
My work schedule is changing. I should have a little more free time now. Hopefully I can start doing a little more fishing.

Good, y'all go hunting. Fewer people on the water!
Fall is my favorite time to fish. And that's one of the main reasons why.

Anyone wanna give me coordinates to the best launch for a small boat in Vermilion Bay?
Pillage, I dont squirrel hunt much, but i do duck hunt. But if my blind is as bad as it was last year, i might just fish all winter haha.
