Mahindra’s service and parts support is horrid

Just curious, How do you know this?

it has absolutely ZERO emissions controls

I believe the same is true for Mahindra. I was "told" the hp. max. was 26 for the emissions??

Interesting that there is no real bad mouthing of Mahindra.... almost total support for Kubota.

I can tell you I have a 30 HP Kubota and in Bahaia that is high it gets bogged down with a 5'. At the deer lease where there is less bahaia and more just weeds and brush it does much better.

On a 25 HP tractor in my experience a 4' cutter would be better than a 5'. I'm no tractor dealer just a guy that is expressing his observations after 15years on a 30, 75, and 125 HP Kubota.

On paper the Mahindra has better specs
quote:

Type: open center Pressure: 2200 psi [151.7 bar] Pump flow: 7.5 gpm [28.4 lpm] Steering flow: 3.2 gpm [12.1 lpm]

While the Kubota has
quote:

Type: open center Pressure: 2205 psi [152.0 bar] Pump flow: 5.15 gpm [19.5 lpm] Steering flow: 3.13 gpm [11.8 lpm]

The extra 2.35 GPM on the hyd will really show up when using a loader

Mahindra lifts more which will come into play when lifting a heavy disc

quote:

Rear Type: I Control: position control Rear lift (at ends): 2646 lbs [1200 kg] Rear lift (at 24"/610mm): 1720 lbs [780 kg]

Kubota lifts 700 pounds less

quote:

Rear Type: I Control: position control Rear lift (at ends): 1918 lbs [870 kg] Rear lift (at 24"/610mm): 1389 lbs [630 kg]

Kubota does have a slightly larger engine

quote:

Kubota 1.6L 3-cyl diesel

Mahindra

quote:

Mitsubishi 1.3L 3-cyl diesel

Mahindra does have a heavier electrical system

quote:

Ground: negative Charging system: alternator Charging amps: 50

Kubota

quote:

Ground: negative Charging system: alternator Charging amps: 40 Charging volts: 12

Sources

Mahindra

Kubota

Again, which dealer will give him the best support is what it would boil down to for me.

Another vote Kubota here. I have owned. L4701 4x4 hst for 2-1/2 years and it has been flawless. Also it lives in the woods under a tarp.

I have a 2011 Kubota MX5100 4x4. It’s been a great tractor and lives in the barn. I’ve just done regular maintenance such as oil, filters, grease etc. I looked hard at the mahindra 4530 when I was shopping but Kubota dealer support and reputation sealed the deal.

You should at least consider LS. I just went through this same scenario 2 months ago and was trying to choose between the very same two as you and settled on an ls xg3025

LS has come on the last few years. I only worry about the longevity and parts availability later on. I have my dads old Farmtrac 435 and it’s in the shop now with a cracked cylinder liner. Parts are just about impossible to find.

Just curious, the overwhelming consensus on here was kubota and you went with mahindra....what was the deciding factor?

No one could justify there complaints on Mahindra. I know a few folks that own them and they work just fine. On paper looks like the better machine. They are selling too many of them for them to be that bad. And basically just a gut feeling.
Fords the best selling truck in the country...I would not own one, just me.
I told my wife that I should offer this thread to Kubota for their marketing dept.
As I said we shall see...

We were having an intelligent conversation here until you showed up. You need to stay on the OT forum.

I owned a Kubota for over 10 years. Good tractor. Only issue was lifting capacity. I can not tell you how many hydraulic cylinders I had rebuilt. Bought a Mahindra 1533 4 years ago. Best tractor I have own. Lifting capacity is awesome, great warranty. And.there is no emission crap you have to worry about. The same engine is used all the way to their 33 HP tractor. You will be very happy with your purchase.

I have Kubota B9200 (23 hp) that I bought new in 1986. I use it year round . I run a 4 ft bush hog on it as a 5 ft does bog down in heavier grass. The 4 ft doesn't bog down at all. I have spread thousands of yards of dirt, run 5 ft discs on pastures to plant rye grass, moved round bales, pulled grader box to cut drainage, and countless other chores. I ran it two days ago in my riding pen. The tractor has been the absolute model of dependability. This is just my experience. I would buy another Kubota if I ever need another tractor. Good luck.
