Picked up this Staccato C single stack last week. It’s the duo model with DLC coating. These are getting hard to find. Made a nice trade for it. Going be in the CCW rotation. I have a tenicor holster on its way.

I carried a Kimber MIco 9 for a number of years. I liked it. Small, light, easy to cc, reasonably accurate and nice looking. I didn't like the 10# trigger when I first shot it, but the trigger dropped to 7# after it had been shot some. The one time I had a problem w/ it was my fault. During the height of Covid ammo was hard to come by so I went a while w/o shooting the M9. Unfortunately, that meant I also went a while w/o cleaning. Consequently the M9 got very dirty and didn't shoot well the next time I shot it. Of course, that can happen w/ any gun. I cleaned it and It's been fine ever since. My only other "compaint" w/ the gun was it flung spent brass EVERYWHERE, oftentimes 20 feet away. I'm sure that could be corrected, but I didn't pursue it.

Yeah, I know they used to and I don't know anyone that has one so thought I would ask here.

Their striker fired pistols are incredibly reliable and budget priced

Kimber Micro 9

Really cool badass looking gun. I used to have a similar gun from Sig Sauer (P938) that I chose over the Kimber due to reliability.

Problem is that there are cheaper guns just as small that are more reliable and hold double the rounds with less weight. And these guns don’t have an exposed hammer to snag your shirt and you don’t have to carry cocked and locked.

Get a hellcat or a P365.

Has anyone shot the Springfield 1911 prodigy DS 3.5” yet. Those look pretty sweet.

Why buy a premium handgun and then expect to break it in?

Higher end 1911's for instance are hand filled to fit components. You are dealing with very tight tolerances. A good manufacturer does it right and you likely won't have a single issue. A cheaper alternative may take some really time to loosen up to operate well. And that truly is what Kimber is in the 1911 space, a cheaper alternative to true custom fit 1911guns. I wouldn't call it a premium option at all.

Should be shooting one tomorrow. FIL just bought one and wants to compare the feel to my Staccato P. When I bought my Staccato, I had the full-size Springfield Prodigy and spent about 20 minutes trying to decide. I went in to get the Staccato, but honestly the Springfield was just as smooth. Ultimately went in to get one over the other, so that was the ultimate tie breaker, but they seem to be great guns (after they got over the initial hurdle).
