I killed one on a hunting club around here that weighed 120 and she looked like a cow laying there. That's the biggest doe I've ever killed.

a 3 year old doe at our place is usually between 110-130lbs.

I wish they got that big here. We don't have much room on a deer to shoot at The one I killed Saturday I shot her I guess you say 3/4 away from me idk but I shot her right in the guts it was awful.

That doesn't look over 60 lbs.

Yeah, 120 lb doe is a big doe for where I hunt too. 88 lbs for a 3.5 yr old deer is very believable. A lot of people grossly overestimate the weight of deer to start with. It takes a big doe to weigh over 120 lbs in most places south in S. Louisiana and S. Mississippi.

Just do what I did, go in the woods with negative confidence of even seeing one.

Yeah, I was like this when season first opened then it got to where I was like "today might be the day" when I was walking to my spot Saturday morning I thought "why did I even wake up and worry with this crap?" Then around 7:30 she hit the ground.

Sometimes, a 1 1/2 yo deer can be mistaken for a 3 1/2 yo deer because the 3rd premolar hasn't fallen out yet and has heavy wear.

It should have had 2 cusps and not 3 if it was a permanent tooth and not a premolar.

Either way, congrats on the meat in the freezer!
