A Hatfield SAS 20ga Semiauto. All the reviews I've read and watched say the same thing: "you're going to have some failures to eject, until you get it good and broken in".

Any of you have one of these cheap arse guns? If I can get it to cycle properly, it'll be my new squirrel gun. If I can't, it'll sit in safe with all the other guns.

I have to ask.... If you were spending $260 why not a pump?

My dad ordered a $300 automatic for himself for Christmas. We went on a paid Quail hunt i bought him for Christmas last Thursday. He had to watch me blast all the quail the 2nd half the day because his $300 automatic firing pin broke. Shocker. Good luck.

I know a guy with the 12 gauge. He had some FTE/FTL within the first boxes of 3” steel loads. The wooden forearm split, replaced with synthetic stock and forearm. It’s been solid ever since. He runs it wet with birch wood Casey gun oil while duck hunting.

Because my girlfriend will probably use it more than me, and I gave her a choice: semiauto that might not work or a pump. She said semiauto.

I bought a Yildiz youth model semi auto for my son from academy for about $300.

Failed to eject/failed to load low brass on first dove hunt.

Traded it in on a Benelli youth model.

It goes boom every time.

Save yourself the headache.

pretty sure that’s what my buddy has had for his now 12yo for the past three seasons. He said it’s perfect for the price and his lil baw aint skeered to pop off three shots.

That being said, should’ve spent 6-800 on a decent one so you can use it when y’all break up or just give her $260 to not go hunting with you at all.

I bought a 26” 20g Sx3 a couple years back. I think it was $800 and I had $450-500 in Cabela’s points. Thing is a sweet little shooter.

BMax12 and I limited out in the Wax with 15 shells total and 5-6 of the shells were at cripples. My SX3 and his Browning Silver 20g.

I bought the same gun for $100 when Walmart was selling out the guns, it’s been great.

The BPS had some Tri star shotguns for dirt cheap a while back that I was very tempted to get. Anyone familiar with them?

I kept my youth 20 gauge pump Winchester my dad got me for 26 years now.

It’s my ready to go home defense gun now, but I was shooting clays with it a couple of weeks ago and baby still perfect.

I have 1- 20 gauge and 1- 12 gauge and my dad has 2- 20 gauges. We had to send one of my dad's guns back because it kept ejecting a loaded shell out of the bottom when shooting it. They had great customer service and got the gun back in 2 weeks. I have had no problem with either of my 2. I tried shooting some 1200fps shells and had a little trouble cycling. As long as I shoot 1280fps or above I never have any trouble at all.

I bought a couple Tri stars for my hourly labor to use chasing cormorants off the fish ponds. They lasted about as long as any other 500 dollar or less shotgun. About a year. But that’s with shooting thousands of shells, riding around in a dusty farm truck being used by guys who can’t shoot and never clean the guns

Have a 20 gauge semi auto Beretta and benelli . Last year I bought a o\u stoeger condor special 20 gauge . Now use it all the time . Lighter and easier to throw it up and shoot . I find the third shot to be a waste most of the time , unless its a cripple . Just my opinion .
