Just Got Back from a Frogging Trip

Caught about 80-100, not sure I'll count them in the morning when I clean them.
Anyhow, it was my first time going in 25 or so years and I was pretty rusty catching and spoting the. It was also the first time going with my son and nephew. We had a great time caught a lot of frogs, saw what I thought was a meteor (nephew and son saw it too). A lot of alligators and surprisingly a few ducks. They nosies you hear when you cut that engine off make you feel very close to your creator.
That's the good, the bad is my headlight sucks. When I'm laying on the front deck spotting for frogs I have to hold my head so high it hurts my neck. Then when I do spot one and go to catch it I have to hold my chin to my chest to be able to see it and keep it in the beam, and at that point the beam is so small one slight move of the head, frog moves out of the beam and its bye bye froggie.
So I'm looking for a new light. One with a beam that easily adjust up and down a little bit. Cordless would be nice. At least 6-8 hours run time.
If not cordless, something with AA batteries type batteries where I can keep a few extras in the boat. A good focused beam about 3-4' diameter at 25 yards are so would be ideal.
Does this exist? Help a fella out if so, trying to make it more enjoyable for me and my son.

I know you want cordless, but we just put a battery in front of the boat and run 100w seal beams with about 10’-15’ of cord.
Of course you have to keep a cordless LED nearby in case you have to chase after one, been buying these cheap ones off of Amazon for years. You’ll get a good year or 2 out of them

Headlamps Nets and More.
I have one like the post above me also. Those are the size of the old Ray O Vacs with a PR13 bulb we used as kids in the 70’s. I have one of those also. Great light.

Chedballz. I have two of those if you would like to try it out before you purchase a light. Im not far from you. It has a nice tight spot and not overly bright. Tell your son to check out that site, he will enjoy it.
Were y’all on Benny’s place ?

We had a lease in Gheens at one time. Did decent on frogs nothing huge but good eating size. We always did it with three. One grabbing, one driving and one holding the spot light. Trade out every now and then so we could all have fun

I have been using the VTS Frog for 3 years and have been happy with it. Battery lasts all night and is plenty bright. I never use my hard hat style wired light anymore. I also had the VTS 5 watt but the beam was too narrow in my opinion. It hardly ever got used and crapped out on me after 2 years. If I was buying again I would get another Frog.

Vapor Trail Outdoors Frog Light. You will never use another light. It also doubles as a Q-beam when running your boat it's so bright.
