Jeep CJ service around Baton Rouge

Well, I finally did a thing that I’ve been waiting a long time to do. I found an all original low mileage 1980 CJ7 that is in great shape. Drives great. I will be the fourth owner and have the history of the two owners before me. It’s been well taken care of and other than it being 46 years old, is solid.
I’m handy but working on cars is something I haven’t done too much of so I’m planning to learn a lot using YouTube and chat boards. I am looking for a place. I can take it if it is beyond what I’m comfortable with. I know about searchers as I had a nephew worked there while in college, but I’m interested in other shops that can do stuff for me if it is beyond my capabilities. Does anyone have any recommendations around Baton Rouge?

Nice. I also had a 80 CJ7 in college back about 36 or so years ago. Actually got it for my high school graduation. What motor does it have?

We just bought an 06 TJ a couple weeks ago ad a weekend driver. Don’t know if you fb or not, but I joined a few Jeep groups on there, and you can learn a lot of common issues and fixes.

i removed my 258 and replaced with a built 360 in my old 80 CJ7.
Hauled arse and got 6pmg. 3spd auto interestingly.
