Good Luck every one. I live in Cut Off and I can assure you the winds are still blowing briskly down here this evening. I have also heard that Specks are extremely hard to find right now and what few shrimp are around are very small. I went the other day and burned a lot of gas and could not find a single bird diving on shrimp. Managed to find a few trout in a cove on the back side of Calumet Island but overall very slow.

Reds in the marsh are pretty easy to find with spoons or market shrimp under a cork being the best choice. Cant comment on offshore because I havent given the mangroves a shot yet this year.

I'll be down there this weekend.

Might not get down there until late Friday. Taking a few north LA boys out, hope to let them see some fish teeth.

Make an early run south on Saturday near the island and retreat back if the wind picks up as predicted.

Sunday prediction is a little better... we'll see what happens.

Bring some of that anti sea sickness stuff for those N boys, you might need it.
Let us know.

It's been dead calm in BR since 8 last night. Hope it carries to the coast.

i'll try to remember to take a picture when i get home. its pretty much the same set up as bait shops use with the pump and the holes drilled in pvc pipe, but in a garbage can.
