Those tomatoes look like herbicide damaged. Tomatoes are extremely sensitive to herbicides. We had a cane farmer spray 2-4D about 100 yards away and there and took out all tomatoes. Curling like that is a hallmark of 2-4D.

Any neighbors been spraying?

I have 2 delicious tomatoes and 1 creole planted in 5 gallon buckets with cages around them. I have 3 more buckets that I'm going to set up when these set flowers. Have 3 burpless cucumbers on the fence line planted in the ground with tin cans around them, they are looking fantastic. They have started to grow feelers and are starting to climb. I planted 3 Dasher II cucumbers in Mardi Gras cups, when they are 6-8" tall I'm going to put them in the ground for my 2nd set of cucumbers.

I water everything daily if we don't get rain. I fertilize every Monday with Miracle Grow. 1/3 of a cap full in a 1 gallon bucket and I apply 1/3 of a gallon to each plant.

I also planted an LSU Purple fig tree. It's looking good but all the branches are on side. I do have a sprout coming out on the side without branches. Hopefully it evens out.

Anyone know a source where I can buy some 5 Gallon Pots, that's close to BR, NOLA or Houma? The site shown is cheap @ $1.80 per pc but $48 for shipping is out of the question.

A friend of mine recommended grow bags instead of pots, so I gave them a try and have had good results thus far.

No neighbors, but I've been spraying Roundup as close as 20 yards or so away. Mostly further. I'll try replanting two and see if the new ones do OK. And no more Roundup in the area.

Thanks.

Sprinkle some sevin dust all over the plants. That will work, if it is caterpillars.

So i just have a dog that's an a-hole...

Or maybe i'm the a-hole for not walking her that much.

The day I saw my buddy's mom in her front yard wearing a moo moo and carrying a 40 of Schlitz is a day I'll never forget. Turns out she had little dishes and shallow tupperware set out every 5' or so in her garden/flowers and was dumping slugs and refilling the bait... Malt liquor. They crawl in, get drunk, and drown.

She was whacking them too...

I tried it one year when I noticed a bunch of slugs in my garden. Killed a bunch, but it didn't get them all. Kept seeing a few.

Home Depot has the grow bags for sale as well. You can free ship to store or order over $50 and get free shipping too last time I ordered.
