Last day in MO. Been the worst week we have ever had.

First 4 days were hot and wet and we didn’t see a single deer.

Weather has been good since Tuesday but deer movement is still slow. Started picking up yesterday with us finally seeing some rut activity with young bucks.

I have a doe in the ice chest, but it’s been hard hunting.

Do you guys remember a hotter start this deep into the season? Looks like we are a week out before we touch 40’s at night

70* and dropping

Just saw a good buck but no shot through the brush.

A couple of strange exotic doze came out yesterday. If they come out today, I’m dropping one. Either red deer, barasingha, or sika.

Hunting axis and whitetail.

Is "High Fence" code for the Border Wall?

Like the above poster stated......I hope it had more than two legs

Fulton County, Illinois. Mathew’s Phase 4. 30 minutes into my first sit and already had exciting action. I heard a loud, aggressive grunt like I’ve never heard in Louisiana before then heard a bunch of loud running. Two decent 8 points chased a doe all around me for about 2 minutes. I’m hooked on Illinois already.

I know someone who just got back from Missouri. Said they left early because it was hot, no movement and wind was 20-25 mph with gust 30-40. Said they had weak/old trees snapping and falling all around him. Be careful!

I’m assuming you weren’t supposed to kill whatever you killed

Will do.

It was in the 40s this morning. 50ish right now and pretty windy. One of the group tagged out this morning on his second day up here. We've been seeing a lot of deer. I might shoot a doe this evening if I can.

Reminds me of the silver back gorilla story. Supposedly escaped from a rehab facility in Texas and came up in a guys shooting house.

Seems like the story was from South Texas. No idea if it’s true, but it’s a great story.
