I’ve always been curious about that. Why is it mostly you see on tv hunters in ground blinds hunting dark to dark when in Saskatchewan?

Deer movement is throughout the day. Big ones can show up at any time.

Neighborhood in Athens TX
67 degrees
SSE @5
Short tripod in a cedar tree
Mathews and fixed blades

Had a buck moving around in dark. Not enough light to even see antlers but he came and investigated my stand. Was only 2 ft from stand and smelled my trail in. Spooked, blew, stomped, then calmed down and paced around eating acorns for another 30 min. before leaving.

Nothing else moving

Seriously foggy.

Drinking coffee on the back porch. Can’t see our feeder 150 yards away. Good luck gentlemen (and ladies).

Box stand on high line with a 35 Whelen
Dumped piles of rice bran in both directions 100 yards from the stand and mashed up Japanese persimmons on top of both piles.

Even if they don’t find it by dark, I have all day tomorrow to hunt over them.
