Deer/pig hunt
Greensburg, LA
49F, clear skies with 11mph north winds
Mission xbow, 20” bolt tipped with 100 gr slick trick

Turkey chair on south end of oil seed radish plot. Wind pounding my face. Had zero daylight pics in this plot but one night pic of a buck that will make the 17” minimum beam restriction. We shall see and hopefully overcome. Good luck to all in this wind.

Meat hunt. Ground blind near choke point between field and thicket. Oaks all around me. I’ve missed this cool weather greatly. Good luck!

St. Tammany
Phase 4
Lock on in a beech tree. Same spot I hunted yesterday evening.
Low 50s and steady breeze out of the north. Finally feeling like fall though I fear it’ll be short lived.

I have a couple good bucks around this area but anything decent that walks is getting an arrow this morning. Hoping for a mature doe.

Not much activity so far. Just had a small doe cruising through the woods. Something spooked her and she jumped off the way she came and blew a couple of times. Probably wouldn’t have shot her anyway but hopefully activity picks up over the next couple hours. It’s pretty breezy and I feel like the wind may be making them uncomfortable.

Better than me. I have 2 doves walking around the cattle cubes crumbs left over from last weekend along the logging road to my west. I wasn’t expecting to see much in this wind anyhow.
