Headed to the Sabine river this AM to hopefully fill a strap. Cold as hell, but we're running out of season. Good luck to you fellow OB'ers

Box stand looking at food plot and down 200 yard Rd

This is the 29th hunt I've made in 18 consecutive days. I have to go back to work tomorrow and with my schedule coming up I doubt I get many more hunts in. Feeling good about this morning though. I saw more deer on the sides of the road on my drive here than I have all season.

I hog hunt on some land that backs up to middle fork Thompson Creek up there NW of Jackson. There are some beautiful spots along that creek.

Indeed. It's a nice place for sure.

Just saw a big coyote but he ran before I could shoot.

Need to be studying for a licensing exam, but I can study in the stand. My last hunt until the weekend. Season is winding down and I need at least one more deer down.

Good luck to those hunting this morning and be safe.

Back at work after the 3 day weekend due to the snow

Probably won't able to go hunt until the weekend but my grandmother is in very poor health so it could happen any moment

Back at work.

Amazing how you can have such an awesome weekend in the woods and go to bed at midnight on Sunday in such a good mood, and have work instantly suck it all out of you

Sorry man. Prayers

Had 3 does come out and feed at 8:30

Spike now is feeding in the same spot. Thinking the heavy rut is over. 2 weeks ago this same spike was seen in 3 different stands trailing does

Thank you buddy. She is 92 and has beaten cancer twice and a rare lung disease.

It is tough on my dad and his siblings. I am little bit sad but am celebrating her life

Yesterday I had 3 does feed on the power line for about an hour. Nothing came out near them when I got down at dark. Last week same stand something came out and started trailing them. I think you're right probably won't see any real rutting action till February.

They came back down the road and they had a buck in tow. I could see horns about 150 yards off but don't think he was anything I would have shot. They were real jumpy and went in the woods and he did the same so never got my rifle up to get a good look

Just put my arse in the chair for an evening hunt.

W.Feliciana
Body stand on creek looking down two shooting lanes
Rem 30-06

Got my stuff together and realized I left my snuff at home. Went across the highway and got a new can from the store and I'll be damned if I didn't leave it in my truck. Gonna be a long hunt
