Why do people get to the stand 2+ hours before daylight.

I understand the want for the woods to settle but got damn.

Normally you can tell when legal shooting light is. That moon could get a fella in trouble this morning

Just had a nice doe come in downwind of my ground blind about 15 yards from me.
She didn't like something and slipped back in the swamp

I think I over did it with clothes. I was scared to trip on my way in or Id be rolling on the ground like Ralphie on Christmas Story
30 degrees
Lock on in hardwood patch surrounded by pines
This stand has some issues this morning. Not sure what's going on but with an icy platform I'm not gonna move around and find out what's out of whack. Damn seat has me doing the gangsta lean
Brought my trust (not really) Rem 700 .280 ( I'm convinced deer keep spotting me as soon as they walk out from the shine of the barrel on this rifle)

Moon has set to the west about 2 hours too soon. Was hoping the sun would start shining and catch deer still out feeding and Id cut one off headed to bed. Instead that bastard already set giving the wise old buck the heads up that daylights coming and time to go to bed. This morning could be a disaster of the worst kind, or victory. Hope we all have safe and successful hunts

Good luck today fellas and stay safe.

I'm a morning person. Doesn't help that last night I dreamed that I killed the biggest buck of my life. Problem was, just prior to shooting him I shot a big cow horn spike. I was panicking trying to figure out how to get them both out the woods without getting busted

I just realized how limited my mobility is this morning. Deer better be dumb as shite and walk right into my wheel house or I'll never be able to maneuver to get a shot
