First light I had a buck 15 yds to my right. It's so quiet with no wind I spooked him.

I think I lured a buzzard in. I've been ripping arse for the past hour and it smells like absolute death. A buzzard came in and has been sitting above me in a tree for the past 30 minutes. Don't think I'll see any deer this morning at this rate.

In the saddle in an area I killed a decent 8 in last year. Saw a decent 8 yesterday evening chasing a doe on my way out. Haven’t seen anything yet though. Good luck everyone!

First bow kill accomplished!

Hit lower than I wanted. Thought he was 30 but it was 35. His rack is not impressive but he’s a tank. Hoping my buddy has a scale.

Nice!

Headed out for the afternoon after the 8 year olds basketball game, on the final weekend, youth only. I think I have a good plan for this west wind 15-20mph, but we'll see.

Nice going tke!

My hunting weekend ended being spent in the Leake County hospital ER all day yesterday, ambulance ride down to Jacksanistan yesterday evening with a really acute case of diverticulitis. And to add insult, the big 8 I’d hoped the gf would shoot Thursday evening popped out on camera at the same blind about 5 yesterday evening right about the time I was on my ride.

I’ll just have to live vicariously through you guys. Glad I didn’t wait to get some meat in the freezer, this will sideline me for the rest of the season.

Congrats on your bow kill Swamp. Running an arrow through one is always fun.

Saddle on a tree line in some young pines.

Hunted a box this morning with Redneck, we had a doe come out but he couldn’t get a shot before she took off. He’s out solo this evening

Hope you feel better soon, Icansee. Wife’s been through that a couple of times. Very painful.

50 degrees hunting with 45-70. Hunting near a pond levee overlooking a logging road and hardwoods. I saw 2 buzzards and 4 dogs this morning. The bar can't be set any lower at this point.

Only positive so far was walking past a fresh scrape within 30 yards of the stand I'm in.

Shot a doe. Was about 120 yards behind me from the saddle. Hard shot but I think I saw her drop.
